PositionDescriptionJob Title:Sr ServiceNow Engineer ServiceNowPlatformBusinessSegment/Department: EEOCategory:Purpose ofJob:The Technical Lead will serve as a keytechnical resource participating and providing oversight of theconfiguration development support and maintenance of the ServiceNowPlatform. Maintains a high level of fluency in ServiceNow designand development principles. Works with key stakeholders to developenterprise business solutions for our customers leveraging ITILprocesses and best practices.MajorResponsibilities
Serve as Lead ServiceNow application developer responsible forimplementing/using Optum s Dev & Ops and overall bestpractices as pertains to workflows integration configurationcustomization orchestration access controlsetc. Provides oversight for all developmentwork within designated Scrum team ensuring timely and highqualitydelivery from the development resourcesEnsure overall systems availability via good design implementationof Optum s Dev & Ops and overall best practices developmentcentric testing promotion discipline Whenengaged by Operations assist with root cause analysis andresolution of production Incidents.Collaborates with QE team to ensure proper test cases are definedand executed Work with Capability Owners totranslate their business requirements into actionable developmenttasks Assists Scrum Master and Capabilityowners with the prioritization of Features User Stories andassociated timelines for delivery for Platform MaintenanceInitiatives. Assists other SoftwareEngineers on assigned Scrum team with accuracy of estimatescomprehension of tasks and provide peer reviews of completedwork. Partners with Scrum Master anddevelopers on the assignment of development tasks such as codingtesting debugging and analytics to teammembers Serves as a technical leadcontributing to and directing the development efforts of assignedScrum team Mentors junior and midlevelSoftware Engineers to allow for skill/knowledge development throughadvice coaching and training opportunities.Works with team members to review new and existing code and/orperform unit testing Prepare and executeunit test cases and test scripts support user acceptancetesting. Proactively stay on top of newcapabilities in the platform and educate team members andcustomers. Participates in recruitinginterviewing and hiring of new software engineeringresources Maintains expert levelunderstanding of ServiceNowRequiredQualifications: Bachelors degree or 5 yearsof equivalent experience Experience leadingother engineers 5 years of ServiceNowdevelopment skills 5 years of experiencewith ITSM processes (Incident/Problem/Request/Change management) 5 years of experience with WebServices AJAXBusiness Rules SOAP REST SSOSAML Setup and Integration ofServiceNow to Other Applications 5 years ofexperience customizing ServiceNow using UI Pages UI Macro &CMS using CSS HTML Jelly Angular 1.5 Preferred Qualifications: ServiceNow IT Service Management or otherrelevant ServiceNow certifications PriorTech Lead experience Demonstrated knowledgeof application design application development and implementation. Understanding basic full stack developmentconcepts Excellent human relations skillsto effectively interact with management peers business partners andvendors Experience with maintainingautomated testing scripts Experience withSeleniumSelfstarterCompetencies and Best Practicefor High Performers
