PrimaryResponsibilities

Operation

  • Supervisethe dishwashers general cleaners garbage man silverman and thenight cleaners
  • Ensure that all new team membersare adequately instructed in the operating of dishwashing machinehandling handling of chinaware glassware silverware cleaning ofkitchen equipment and other assigned by the ExecutiveSteward
  • Ensure personal cleanliness and properdeportment of all employees under hissupervision
  • Ensure that all the stewardingstoreroom and work place are kept clean at alltimes
  • Ensure proper sanitation standards aremet through maintenance of local health and sanitationcodes
  • Ensure proper garbage sorting and thatall Food & Beverage garbage are removed from all areas andtransferred to the garbage room
  • Take inventoryof the operating equipment and cleaningsupplies
  • Report to Executive Steward should anemergency arise and he/she is unable to handleit
  • Ensure that all kitchen and servicecolleagues are properly briefed that no over loading of operatingequipment at the dishwashing area and any of the kitchen areas isallowed as it may result in breakages
  • Prepareduty rosters on a weekly basis and Public Holiday/Vacation Leavechart for the Steward Attendants
  • Suggest waysto improve the StewardingDepartment

OtherResponsibilities

  • Be well versed inhotel fire & life safety/emergencyprocedures
  • Attend all briefings meetings andtrainings as assigned by management
  • Report forduty on time wearing clean and complete uniform at alltimes
  • Maintain a high standard of personalappearance and hygiene at all times
  • Performother reasonable duties assigned by the Management of theHotel

  • Secondary/ High school education will be anadvantage
  • Minimum 2 years of relevantexperience in a similar capacity
  • Good readingwriting and oral proficiency in Englishlanguage
  • Ability to speak other languages andbasic understanding of local languages will be anadvantage
