TheRole:


Workingas part of the Global IT Infrastructure department as a ModernWorkplace Engineer and supporting c.100k users across four regionsyou will be at the forefront of deploying and managing cuttingedgesolutions that leverage Microsoft 365 (M365) and Azuretechnologies. Your role will focus on enhancing our workplaceenvironment through the design implementation and optimization ofthese platforms to ensure seamless collaboration communication andproductivity across theorganization.

Reportingto the Infrastructure Manager Modern Workplace you will beaccountable for championing cloud services and ensuring that theyare seamlessly delivered to our business customers. You should beable to plan analyse design test and deploy enterprisescale CloudIaaS SaaS and PaaSsolutions.

Thisis a global role supporting the Cognita Group of Companies andschools throughout theworld.


KeyAccountability:

  • Designand implement modern workplace solutions with a strong emphasis onMicrosoft 365 and Azureservices
  • Manageand support Microsoft Teams SharePoint OneDrive and other M365applications to foster collaboration andefficiency
  • Ensurethe security compliance and governance of the M365 and Azureenvironments
  • ProvideL3 support and troubleshoot complex issues related to identitymessaging and cloudservices.
  • Collaboratewith regional IT teams to drive continuous improvement andinnovation within the modern workplaceecosystem
  • Stayingup to date with cloud technologies to ensure that Cognita isprovided with the best service and cloud applicationsolutions.
  • Providingsolutions across all IT departments to support projects and futuretechnologies.
  • Monitorand drive efficiency across support ticket queues helping to ensurethat all tickets are correctly prioritized updated and resolvedwithinSLA.
  • Configureand maintain identity management solutions such as Entra ID / AzureActive Directory (Azure AD) and Conditional Access to enforcesecure user authentication and access policies. Deploy rolebasedaccess controls (RBAC) to ensure proper access control andauthorization.
  • Ensureall documentation is kept updated and relevant knowledge basesreflect the latestchanges.
  • Activelyparticipate in critical incidents coordinating with resolutionparties and establishing effective communication betweenstakeholders for postincidentreviews
  • Supportthe adoption and administration of the latest Windows operatingsystems within theorganization
  • UtilizeMicrosoft tools for Unified Endpoint Management (UEM) includingIntune EntraID Azure Virtual Desktop andWindows365
  • Implementand configure MDM policies using Microsoft Intune or other EMStools to manage and secure mobile devices across variousplatforms.



Requirements
  • Provenexperience in Microsoft Azure and Modern Workplace with a focus onimplementing clientsolutions.
  • Strongexpertise in Microsoft cloud services including Azure and Microsoft365.
  • Strongknowledge of EMS technologies including Azure Active Directory andConditionalAccess.
  • Familiaritywith mobile device management (MDM) Microsoft Intune andapplication managementconcepts.
  • Experiencewith identity and access management (IAM) principles and bestpractices.
  • Strongunderstanding of information protection and datasecurity.
  • Experiencein Azure Cloud Security with a strong understanding of Azuresecurity services andconfigurations.
  • Proficiencyin scripting and automation using PowerShell Azure CLI or otherrelevanttools.
  • Experiencewith monitoring and logging tools such as Azure Monitor LogAnalytics and ApplicationInsights.
  • Strongproblemsolving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complexissues.
  • Experiencein dealing with thirdparty provided services including outsourced /augmentedteams.
  • Abilityto multitask and manage a large and varied workload and demonstratehigh levels ofselforganisation.
  • Excellentinterpersonal skills able to effectively communicate with andinfluence both internal and externalstakeholders.
  • Abilityto quickly establish credibility & foster collaborativerelationships across functional and geographically dispersedteams.
  • Highlevels of energy reliability strong work ethic attention to detailwith the flexibility to thrive in a fastpaced dynamic environmentwork under pressure and deliver atpace.

Hybridworking role.

Flexibleworking conditions as you will be interacting with a globalaudience.

Somevery occasional weekend or latenight duties may be required tosupport maintenance or majorincidents.

Proven experience in Microsoft Azure and Modern Workplace with afocus on implementing client solutions. Strong expertise inMicrosoft cloud services, including Azure and Microsoft 365. Strongknowledge of EMS technologies, including Azure Active Directory andConditional Access. Familiarity with mobile device management(MDM), Microsoft Intune and application management concepts.Experience with identity and access management (IAM) principles andbest practices.
