HR Manager

Kolkata

The HR Manager will be responsible for leading and managing the human resources function at the DS Research Centre. The HR Manager will work closely with the senior management team to develop and implement HR strategies that support the organization's goals and objectives. The HR Manager will also be responsible for ensuring that the organization is compliant with all relevant employment laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Recruitment and Selection: Develop and implement effective recruitment and selection strategies that attract and retain top talent. This includes identifying staffing needs, developing job descriptions, posting job openings, screening resumes, conducting interviews, and making job offers.

Employee Relations: Develop and maintain positive relationships with employees by addressing grievances, providing counseling and support, and ensuring that policies and procedures are communicated effectively. This includes promoting a positive and inclusive workplace culture.

Performance Management: Develop and implement effective performance management systems that support employee growth and development. This includes setting performance goals, conducting regular performance reviews, providing feedback, and developing performance improvement plans as needed.

Benefits Administration: Manage the administration of employee benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other employee benefits. This includes ensuring that the organization's benefit programs are competitive and cost-effective.

Training and Development: Develop and implement effective training and development programs that support employee growth and development. This includes identifying training needs, developing training materials, and delivering training programs.

Compliance: Ensure that the organization is compliant with all relevant labor laws and regulations, including anti-discrimination laws, wage and hour laws, and occupational health and safety regulations. This includes maintaining accurate and up-to-date records and reporting as required.

Policy Development: Develop and implement effective HR policies and procedures that are consistent with the organization's goals and objectives. This includes reviewing and updating policies and procedures as needed.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.

At least 7 years of experience in human resources management, with a proven track record of success.

Strong knowledge of human resources best practices, employment laws, and regulations.

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work collaboratively with all levels of the organization.

Strong organizational and project management skills.

Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive information.

Proficiency in HR software, Microsoft Office, and other relevant software programs.
