  1. Responsible for Planning and implementation ofPreventive Maintenance Schedule for all major production equipmentand utility equipment.
  2. Responsible forbreakdown maintenance of all equipment.
  3. Distribution and delegation of maintenance jobs tofitters and electricians.
  4. Maintenance ofequipment history files equipment logs of utilities
  5. Assembling dismantling and shifting ofequipment.
  6. Providing enough utilities to themanufacturing personnel as per their requirements.
  7. Ensuring the working conditions of the productionequipment before the beginning of manufacturingactivity.
  8. Coordinating with HOD Production forthe approval of maintenance work permits.
  9. Ensure awareness of the quality system among all thepersonnel in the maintenance department.
  10. Ensure and report the achievement of the processobjectives of the maintenance department to themanagement
  11. Performing the qualification of theprocess equipment
  1. Monitor the performanceof the utilities and initiate actions whenever required.
  2. Preparation of preventive maintenance plans and ensuretimely implementation of preventive maintenanceschedule.
  3. By coordinating with QA Designingthe plant Layouts and equipment Layouts.
  4. Ensure adequate resources for preventive maintenance ofall the process equipment.
  5. Review thebreakdown of the machines and ensure that the same is used as atool for preventive maintenance.
  6. Ensure thatinternal audits are conducted as per the annual plan and allactions are taken against the audit findings.
  7. Ensure that followup audits are conducted as per theannual plan and that all corrective and preventive actions areimplemented as mentioned in nonconformance reports raised duringthe audits.
  8. To maintain required spare partsfor breakdown and preventive maintenance of process equipment andutilities.
  9. To arrange for testing of boilersand other pressure vessels as per the statutory norms.
  10. To ensure proper safety measures and arrange the requiredsafety gear while handling electrical equipment and other equipmentinvolving hazards.
  11. To coordinate with serviceengineers of the equipment suppliers as required.
  12. To ensure adequate maintenance and sanitization of the DMWater plant.
  13. To provide line clearance toproduction operations after preventive maintenance and breakdownmaintenance of the equipment.
  14. Reporting to GMOperations.
