The data management team at Preqin is in charge of acquiring and gathering crucial public and private data to power the company's online databases and products. In addition to collecting data, the team works closely with both internal and external clients to enhance offerings using technology and subject matter knowledge. They are well-versed in the data life cycle and produce business intelligence reports to enhance operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will join Preqin's data management team, focusing on vendor management, operational improvement, ensuring timely delivery, and implementing strategic sourcing policies globally.   • Data Operation: The focus is on identifying and evaluating data sources, establishing procedures, standardizing frameworks for vendors, monitoring vendor performance and compliance, and implementing metrics for quality assurance
  • Business Intelligence: Involves analyzing capacity, costs, and operational forecasts, making data-driven decisions to enhance productivity, quality, and cost-effectiveness. It also includes optimizing existing BI tools, designing reports for senior management, and ensuring operational excellence in data vendor relationships
  • Internal Stakeholder Management: Entails collaborating with finance and data management departments to identify new vendor opportunities, working with stakeholders across different departments to improve data quality and timeliness, and providing guidance to team members
  • Change Management & Communication:  Involves developing communication strategies to facilitate change within the organization, both at high-level strategic planning and in day-to-day tactical communications
What you’ll bring to us:
  • Relevant experience in finance, alternative assets, consultancy, or data management
  • Demonstrated communication skills with senior stakeholders to ensure delivery expectations are met
  • Preferred knowledge of business intelligence systems
  • Preferred experience in analytical modeling and project management
  • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong negotiation, management, and decision-making abilities
  • Prior experience in vendor or sourcing management roles
