Job Description:

  • You are the Technical Lead Engineerfor all engineering activities relating to the automation of mediumand high voltage switchgear for our projects in Germany and the HUBEurope region based in Mannheim. As a Technical Lead Engineerensure that engineering testing and commissioning activities arecarried out efficiently and costeffectively in accordance withcustomer expectations contract specifications quality standards andsafetyrequirements.

Your areaof responsibility:

  • Youact as a technical lead and link between the customer and thevarious specialist departments.
  • You coordinateall technical activities throughout the entire project period.
  • Work closely with customers to develop anddeliver solutions and utilize feedback to drive innovativeimprovements and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Close collaboration with colleagues andengineers from various disciplines exchange of technical knowledgeand best practices across the borders of the HUB Europe region.
  • Preparation of the basic design of automationcontrol and protection systems for substations. Verification of theimplemented basic design in detailed planning.
  • Taking on parts of the detailed design testingor commissioning activities depending on the project requirements.
  • Support the project manager in appointingsubcontractors and coordinating the technical aspects with thesubcontractors.
  • Assist the project manager inestimating the remaining cost effort and in recording and trackingchanges in the project scope including assessing their cost andtime impact.
  • Support the offering team throughfeedback from ongoing projects and participation in the technicaldevelopment of new offers.
  • Health Safety andEnvironment (HSE): Adhere to and exemplifies company health safetyand environmental policies.
  • Takingresponsibility for your own actions while caring for yourcolleagues and the company
  • Medium travelactivity mainly inEurope.

Yourbackground:

  • Bachelorsdegree or higher in electrical engineering.
  • Atleast 5 years of relevant professional experience in substationautomation or similar projects.
  • Highcommunication skills fluent in spoken and written English andGerman.
  • Knowledge of control protection andautomation systems in substations.
  • Stronganalytical and problemsolving skills coupled with strong businessacumen and a resultsoriented mindset.
  • Abilityto communicate/discuss complex technical topics with customers.
  • A high level ofcuriosity.
