About Company

The Director of Investment Banking and Fundraising is responsible for leading the investments for our client. Key responsibilities will include identifying ledas, capital raising, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), strategic advisory, and private placements. The role involves sourcing new business opportunities, structuring deals, and guiding, transactions from inception to closing. This position also plays a critical role in driving the firm’s fundraising initiatives, liaising with institutional and private investors, and encasing successful financing rounds.



Roles & responsibilities:

  • 1.     Deal origination and business development:

a.     Identify and source potential investment banking deals and fundraising opportunities, focusing on high-growth industries and sectors

b.     Cultivate and maintain relationships with existing and prospective clients, including corporations, private equity firms, and institutional investors

c.     Lead business development efforts to generate new revenue streams and expand the firm’s client base

  • 2.     Capital raising and fundraising:

a.     Oversee the fundraising process for clients, including preparation of pitch books, financial models, and investment marketing materials

b.     Lead negotiations with investors, institutional and private equity funds, and strategic partners to secure financing

c.     Manage equity and debt fundraising transactions, including initial public offerings (IPOs), private placements, and venture capital rounds

  • 3.     Transaction management:

a.     Drive the execution of M&A deals, restructurings, and capital market transactions, coordinating with internal teams, legal, and external advisors

b.     Guide clients through the transaction lifecycle, including due diligence, valuation, structuring, and final closing

c.     Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements during fundraising and M&A activities.

  • 4.     Client relationship management:

a.     Serve as a key point of contact for clients, providing strategic advice, financial analysis, and recommendations tailored to their business needs.

b.     Build long-term relationships with key stakeholders, including corporate executives, board members, and investment partners.

  • 5.     Team leadership and mentorship:

a.     Lead, mentor and develop junior bankers and analysts within the investment banking team

b.     Ensure high performance standards by fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and client-centric service

c.     Oversee deal teams, managing workflow, and ensuring smooth execution of all engagements.

  • 6.     Market analysis and industry expertise:

a.     Stay informed on market trends, industry shifts, and emerging opportunities to provide cutting-edge financial solutions to clients

b.     Conduct regular analysis of competitive positioning and market performance to guide business strategy

  • 7.     Financial modeling and valuation:

a.     Oversee the development of detailed financial models, valuation reports, and deal structures

b.     Ensure accuracy and robustness in financial projections, cash flow models, and investment returns analysis



Requirements
  • Education: MBA in Finance, CFA or related advanced degree
  • Experience: Min. of 10 to 15 years of experience in investment banking, with a proven track record of leading fundraising initiatives and managing M&A transactions
  • Strong understanding of capital markets, fundraising strategies, corporate finance, and valuation techniques
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex transactions, structure deals, and drive client-focused outcomes
  • Experience with equity and debt financing, IPOs, private placements, and venture capital fundraising
  • Established network with investors, private equity firms, venture capitalists, and corporate executives
