OverviewAs a NewProduct Development Mechanical Engineer you will play a crucialrole in leading the design and development of innovative products.Your expertise in mechanical engineering and product developmentwill contribute to the success of our organization by bringing newproducts to market and improving existing ones. You willcollaborate with crossfunctional teams to ensure that the productsmeet quality cost and timeline objectives. Your attention to detailand problemsolving skills will be essential in this role as youstrive to deliver highquality products that exceed customerexpectations.Keyresponsibilities
  • Lead the mechanicaldesign and development of new products from concept toproduction.
  • Conduct research and analysis tosupport the design process and ensure technicalfeasibility.
  • Create and review detailedtechnical drawings specifications and documentation using CADsoftware.
  • Collaborate with industrial designersand engineers to integrate aesthetics and functionality intoproduct design.
  • Prototype and test mechanicalcomponents and systems to validate designconcepts.
  • Ensure products comply with industrystandards regulations and safetyrequirements.
  • Optimize product performance andmanufacturability through continuous improvement and designiterations.
  • Collaborate with manufacturingteams to transfer designs into production resolve issues andimprove manufacturing processes.
  • Participate incrossfunctional meetings and communicate effectively withstakeholders to drive projectsforward.
  • Contribute to cost analysis riskassessment and mitigation strategies for new product developmentprojects.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve mechanicalissues during product development and after productlaunch.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologiesand industry trends to incorporate into product developmentprocesses.
  • Drive innovation and contribute tothe creation of intellectual property through patents andinnovative design solutions.
  • Support productlifecycle management activities and contribute to product roadmapplanning.
Requiredqualifications
  • Bachelors or Mastersdegree in Mechanical Engineering or a relatedfield.
  • Proven experience in new productdevelopment within the mechanical engineeringdomain.
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD software formechanical design and drafting such as SolidWorks AutoCAD orCREO.
  • Strong knowledge of materialsmanufacturing processes and mechanical component designprinciples.
  • Experience in prototyping testingand validation of mechanical systems andcomponents.
  • Familiarity with simulation andanalysis tools for mechanical designvalidation.
  • Demonstrated ability to work incrossfunctional teams and manage multiple projectssimultaneously.
  • Excellent problemsolving skillsand the ability to apply engineering principles to realworldchallenges.
  • Understanding of design formanufacturability assembly and costoptimization.
  • Effective communication skillsand the ability to present technical information clearly andconcisely.
  • Knowledge of regulatory standardssafety requirements and product certificationprocesses.
  • Strong attention to detail and apassion for creating highquality reliableproducts.
  • Ability to adapt to changingpriorities and drive projects to successfulcompletion.
  • Experience in leading designreviews design failure mode and effects analysis (DFMEA) and designvalidation activities.
  • Commitment to continuouslearning and professional development in the field of mechanicalengineering and new productdevelopment.
