Overview:
As aPenetration Tester you will play a critical role in evaluating thesecurity posture of the organization through simulated cyberattacks. Your expertise will help identify vulnerabilities andenhance the overall security measures in place. This role requiresa deep understanding of attacker tactics techniques and procedures(TTPs) to effectively simulate realworld threats.

Key Responsibilities:
SimulatedCyber Attacks:
Conduct simulated attacksagainst the organizations infrastructure emulating the TTPs ofrealworld attackers. This involves exploiting vulnerabilities insystems applications and networks to gain unauthorized access andextract sensitive information.

VulnerabilityAssessment:
Identify and assessvulnerabilities in IT assets including servers databases webapplications and network devices. Utilize automated scanning toolsmanual testing techniques and exploit frameworks to uncoversecurity flaws.

Exploitation andPostExploitation:
Exploit identifiedvulnerabilities to gain access to target systems. Conductpostexploitation activities including privilege escalation lateralmovement and data exfiltration to demonstrate the potential impactof actual cyber attacks.

SocialEngineering:
Employ social engineeringtechniques such as phishing pretexting and physical intrusion totest the effectiveness of the organizations security awarenesstraining and employee vigilance.

Reporting andRecommendations:
Document findings in acomprehensive penetration test report detailing exploitedvulnerabilities and compromised systems. Provide actionablerecommendations for remediation and improvement of securityposture.

Collaboration with BlueTeam:
Work closely with the Blue Team tocoordinate penetration testing activities. Share insights intodiscovered vulnerabilities and attack techniques to enhancedefensive controls and incident response capabilities.

Continuous Learning and SkillDevelopment:
Stay current on the latestsecurity threats attack techniques and defensive strategies. Engagein ongoing training pursue certifications and participate inindustry events to continuously enhance technical skills andexpertise.

  • Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)
  • GIACPenetration Tester (GPEN)
  • CertifiedPenetration Tester (CPT)
  • Offensive SecurityCertified Professional (OSCP)
  • CertifiedInformation Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
  • Certified Expert Penetration Tester (CEPT)
  • Certified Red Team Operator (CRTOP)
  • ECCouncil Certified Security Analyst (ECSA)

TechnicalSkills:

  • Proficient inpenetration testing tools and frameworks (e.g. Metasploit BurpSuite Nmap).
  • Experience with scripting andprogramming languages (e.g. Python PowerShell).
  • Knowledge of network protocols and securitymechanisms.
  • Familiarity with web applicationsecurity vulnerabilities (e.g. OWASP Top Ten).
  • Understanding of security controls and bestpractices.
