About the Role:

The Head of Fundraising, Communications, and Partnerships is a multifaceted leadership role within the non-profit organization, responsible for driving fundraising efforts, overseeing communication strategies, cultivating partnerships, and managing public relations.

This position requires a strategic thinker with strong interpersonal skills, fundraising expertise, and a comprehensive understanding of communication and partnership-building strategies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and execute integrated fundraising, communication, and partnership strategies aligned with the organization's mission, vision, and goals. Coordinate efforts across departments to maximize impact and engagement.
  • Donor Cultivation and Stewardship: Cultivate relationships with prospective and existing donors through various channels, including in-person meetings, events, email, social media, and retail fundraising initiatives. Implement stewardship strategies to maintain donor relationships and ensure continued support.
  • Donor Acquisition: Develop and implement strategies to acquire new donors, leveraging communication channels such as social media, email campaigns, and targeted outreach efforts. Coordinate with the agency to create compelling messaging and materials to attract new supporters.
  • Grant Writing and Management: Lead grant writing efforts, working closely with program staff to develop compelling proposals for foundations, government agencies, and other grant-making entities. Manage the grant application process, ensuring compliance with reporting requirements and deadlines.
  • Fundraising Campaigns: Plan and execute fundraising campaigns, including annual giving campaigns and special appeals. Coordinate with the agency team to develop campaign materials, including digital and print collateral, social media content, and email campaigns.
  • Retail Fundraising: Develop and oversee retail fundraising initiatives, including partnerships with corporate sponsors, cause-related marketing campaigns, and merchandise sales. Collaborate with retail partners to maximize fundraising opportunities and raise awareness of the organization's mission.
  • Partnerships Development: Identify and cultivate strategic partnerships with corporations, foundations, government agencies, and other non-profit organizations. Collaborate with partners to develop joint fundraising initiatives, events, and campaigns to advance shared goals and objectives.
  • Public Relations: Manage the organization's public relations efforts, including media relations, and press releases. Cultivate relationships with journalists and media outlets to secure coverage and raise awareness of the organization's work.
  • Social Media Management: Oversee the organization's social media presence, including content creation, posting schedules, and engagement with followers. Utilize social media platforms to promote fundraising campaigns, share success stories, and engage with supporters.
  • Team Leadership and Collaboration: Lead a team of fundraising, communications, and partnerships professionals, providing guidance, support, and mentorship. Collaborate with other departments, including program staff and senior leadership, to ensure alignment and integration of efforts.
  • Budget Management: Develop and manage the fundraising, communications, and partnerships budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and tracking of expenses. Monitor performance metrics and ROI to optimize resource allocation and maximize impact.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Master's degree in a related field (such as nonprofit management, communications, marketing, or business administration)
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in nonprofit fundraising, communications, partnerships, or related fields, with a proven track record of success in driving revenue growth, donor engagement, and partnership development.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Experience in grant writing and management, with a solid understanding of the grant application process and reporting requirements.
  • Proficiency in social media management, content creation, and digital marketing strategies.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to develop innovative strategies to achieve fundraising, communication, and partnership goals.
  • Leadership and management experience, with the ability to lead and motivate teams to achieve objectives.
  • Commitment to the mission and values of the organization, with a passion for social impact and community development.

Salary: The salary offered is competitive and will be determined based on industry standards, qualifications, and the candidate's level of experience.
