Expected Qualities of the role-holder:

This role would require a person with at least 5 - 7 years of professional experience in the non-profit sector, in fundraising and donor servicing. They should be experienced in building relationships with various stakeholders. The person should have excellent communication skills, ability and willingness to collaborate, and ability to quickly adapt to volatile situations. They should also have an eye for detail and always be proactive to explore multiple opportunities and strategies for fundraising.

Functional Responsibilities

Core responsibilities:

Donor Relationship Management:

Develop and implement strategies to cultivate and retain existing and new donors.

Serve as the primary point of contact for donors, addressing inquiries, concerns, and feedback promptly and professionally.

Build and maintain strong relationships with donors through regular communication, including personalised emails, phone calls, and in-person meetings when required.

Identify opportunities to deepen donor engagement and involvement with the organisation's ongoing programs and initiatives.

Donor Servicing and Reporting:

Ensure timely submission of reports to donors, adhering to reporting requirements and deadlines.

Coordinate donor visits and facilitate quality engagements for donor interactions, contributing to the growth of donor relationships.

Develop fundraising proposals with support from internal teams.




Donor Research and Engagement:

Conduct research on potential donors and develop strategies to establish contacts.

Leverage alternate networks and explore multiple avenues (e.g., LinkedIn, forums) to identify potential donors.

Engage with potential donors to cultivate relationships and secure funding opportunities.

Fundraising Support:

Support and execute fundraising activities, including proposal development and preparation of briefs.

Collaborate with NGO Management and Outreach team, as well as the Institution Building team, to ensure alignment of fundraising efforts with organizational goals.

Coordinate inter and intra-team communications and collaborations related to fundraising initiatives.

Other Responsibilities:

Assist in identifying and mitigating risks associated with fundraising activities.

Support leadership in preparing internal and external briefs related to fundraising efforts.

Assist with social media communications to enhance organizational visibility and engagement.

Undertake any other responsibilities as assigned by the Fundraising Lead.

Job Requirements

Qualifications

Master’s in business administration/ social work or equivalent

Experience

5-7 years of relevant professional experience in fundraising and resource mobilization
