Job Summary:The Dean (Training) is responsible for the strategic designimplementation and management of training programs that align withindustry standards and the institutions educational goals. Thisrole focuses on integrating training programs into the curriculumensuring that students acquire relevant and uptodate industryskills. The Dean (Training) will work closely with faculty industrypartners and other stakeholders to ensure the effectiveness andrelevance of traininginitiatives.

KeyResponsibilities:

  1. ProgramDevelopment andManagement:
  • Designand develop comprehensive training programs and curricula that meetindustry standards and address current skillgaps.
  • Oversee the implementation oftraining programs ensuring alignment with the institution seducational objectives and industryrequirements.
  • Evaluate and updatetraining materials and methods regularly to ensure they reflect thelatest industry trends and technologicaladvancements.
IndustryCollaboration:
  • Analyzemarket trends and industry needs to inform the development oftraining programs.
  • Build andmaintain strong relationships with industry partners employers andprofessional organizations to ensure programs remain relevant andvaluable.
  • Facilitate partnershipsand collaborations with external stakeholders for programenhancements andopportunities.
StudentAssessment andFeedback:
  • Developand implement assessment tools to evaluate student progress andskill acquisition.
  • Provideconstructive feedback and support to students to help them meettheir career goals and improve theirskills.
  • Monitor and analyze studentperformance and outcomes to ensure program effectiveness andidentify areas forimprovement.
CurriculumIntegration:
  • Integratetraining programs into the existing curriculum ensuring a cohesiveand comprehensive educationalexperience.
  • Work with faculty andacademic departments to ensure that training initiatives complementand enhance overall academicofferings.
AdministrativeDuties:
  • Managethe budget for training programs including allocation of resourcesand financial planning.
  • Preparereports and documentation on program performance student outcomesand industry trends for internal and externalstakeholders.
  • Participate ininstitutional committees and contribute to strategic planning anddecisionmakingprocesses.
ProfessionalDevelopment:
  • Staycurrent with industry trends technological advancements and bestpractices in training andeducation.
  • Attend conferencesworkshops and other professional development opportunities tocontinuously enhanceexpertise.


Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Masters degree or higher in Education Training and Development HumanResources or a related field.
  • Provenexperience in designing and implementing training programspreferably in an academic or professionalsetting.
  • Strong understanding ofindustry trends and skill requirements across varioussectors.
  • Excellent communicationleadership and interpersonalskills.
  • Experience in studentassessment and programevaluation.
  • Ability to workcollaboratively with faculty students and industrypartners.

PreferredSkills:

  • Experiencein an administrative or leadership role within an educationalinstitution.
  • Knowledge ofinstructional design methodologies and learning managementsystems.
  • Familiarity withaccreditation and compliance standards related to trainingprograms.

WorkEnvironment:

  • Theposition may require occasional evening or weekend work toaccommodate program schedules and industryevents.
  • The role may involve travelto attend industry conferences or meet with externalpartners.

Qualifications: Education:Master s degree in business administration, Human Resources,Education, or a related field. Doctorate preferred. Experience:Minimum of 4 years of experience in career services, placement, orrelated fields, with at least 4 years in a leadership or managerialrole.
