JobSummary:

The Dean ofPlacement is a senior leadership role responsible for maximizingstudent employment outcomes by developing and executing strategicinitiatives aimed at enhancing job placements. This role involvesbuilding and nurturing strong relationships with industry partnersorganizing career fairs and recruitment events and preparingstudents for successful careers through targeted training programsand career counselling. The Dean will oversee all placementrelatedactivities ensuring alignment with institutional goals and studentneeds.


KeyResponsibilities:

  1. StrategicPlacementPlanning:
  • Developand implement comprehensive placement strategies and policies toenhance student employmentrates.
  • Set annual placement goalsand monitor progress towards achievingthem.
IndustryOutreach and RelationshipBuilding:
  • Establishand maintain strong relationships with industry leaders employersand professionalorganizations.
  • Engage withbusinesses and organizations to create internship and jobopportunities forstudents.
CareerCounseling and StudentSupport:
  • Providecareer counseling and guidance to students including resumebuilding interview preparation and job searchstrategies.
  • Organize and conductworkshops seminars and training sessions to prepare students forindustryroles.
Job Fairand Recruitment EventManagement:
  • Plancoordinate and execute job fairs recruitment events and employernetworking sessions.
  • Collaboratewith employers to ensure a diverse range of job opportunities forstudents.
DataAnalysis andReporting:
  • Analyseplacement data and trends to assess program effectiveness andidentify areas forimprovement.
  • Prepare and presentreports on placement statistics and outcomes to institutionalleadership andstakeholders.
CollaborationandCoordination:
  • Workclosely with academic departments faculty and other administrativeunits to align placement activities with academic programs andstudent needs.
  • Coordinate withalumni relations to leverage the alumni network for placementopportunities.
ProgramDevelopment:
  • Developand implement training programs and resources to enhance studentsemployability skills.
  • Stay updatedon industry trends and employment market changes to adapt placementstrategiesaccordingly.
BudgetManagement:
  • Overseethe budget for placement activities and ensure effective allocationof resources.
  • Seek fundingopportunities and sponsorships for placementrelated events andinitiatives.


Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Education:Master s degree in business administration Human ResourcesEducation or a related field. Doctoratepreferred.
  • Experience:Minimum of 4 years of experience in career services placement orrelated fields with at least 4 years in a leadership or managerialrole.
  • Skills:
    • Strongnetworking and relationshipbuildingabilities.
    • Excellent communicationpresentation and interpersonalskills.
    • Proficiency in data analysisand report generation.
    • Ability tomanage multiple projects and meetdeadlines.
    • Strategic thinking andproblemsolvingskills.
  • OtherRequirements:
