Job Dimensions (role and responsibilities):

The responsibilities include:

• Work closely with the Insurance Companies/ various departments of the company.
• This will include both treaty and facultative reinsurance.
• Development and control of reinsurance processes and procedures.
• Formulate policies and procedures to cover tasks for placement of reinsurance, claims handling, technical accounting and management reporting.
• Development and succession plan for all members of the reinsurance team.
• Provide reinsurance input for the development of new products or changes to existing products.
• Regular meetings with insurers/reinsures and brokers to build their understanding of the business thus enabling execution of reinsurance on the best terms possible for company.
• To emphasize strict compliance with, and adherence to Risk, compliance and legal norms.
• To review business performance & profitability via a strong and periodic MIS system.
• To build new business with network of contacts across both General Insurance Companies & Reinsurance Companies.

Education : Graduate/Post-Graduate.

Experience Required : 9-12 years of relevant experience in Insurance and Reinsurance Industry. IRDA Certified /Professional Qualification will be added advantage

Key Performance Indicators:

To produce reinsurance information for business planning and strategic purposes ensuring the company maintains successful relationship with local and international insurance companies, Reinsurers & brokers

• Strong communication, presentation, consultative selling, advising, and negotiation skills
• Solid understanding of the Reinsurance market – in India and worldwide
• Demonstrated extra-ordinary domain knowledge and should have won new business consistently
• A consulting mind-set, strong analytical skills, a competitive drive
• Ability to manage and excel in ambiguous situations
• Good relationship management & service focus Skills.
• Sound problem solving and decision-making skills.
• Should be proactive, focused & service oriented.
• Ability to anticipate & identify client needs.
