  • The teamis part of a global support group to manage daily risk productionfor credit bureaus rates and FX exchanges;
  • Including earlyofday risk actual commercialrisk and PnL explains.
  • The support team is in constant communication withdevelopers traders intermediary teams and support teams aligned tothe office.
  • Theenvironment in which we work can be noisy with frequent andsometimes stressful interruptions.
  • With such a demanding environment a highlevel of flexibility patience and confidence is required.
  • The role can be veryrewarding but it will require a high level of commitment to getstarted quickly.
  • Theteam works closely with its global counterparts providing support24/7 including on call and weekend and you should be involved inthe rotation of escalating office hours (evenings weekends andpublic holidays).
  • The business line is stateoftheart and highly dynamicand we operate in an environment that is responsive to theirchanging needs.
  • Teammembers have the opportunity to broaden their understanding of GMactivity and how the front office functions. It is also possible tolearn the different technologies used.
In detail
  • Provide technical and functional support forkey Global Markets applications. In coverage schedules between 9 amand 9 pm (in winter from 8 pm to 8 pm)
  • Analyze existing tasks and procedures inorder to optimize and automate those using standards and toolsapproved by client.
  • Provide technical and functional support to businessusers mainly in North America but also worldwide
  • Identify resolve and monitorproduction incidents in consultation with the applicationproduction support team business users infrastructure teams andinternal and external support teams.
  • Diagnose and resolve data processing problems
  • Support technicaland business analysts in defining application production problems
  • Participate intechnical analyses obtaining information on requirements and useracceptance testing for changes in the field of applicationproduction support
  • Participate in disaster recovery trials (evening andweekend work)
  • Support changes in production environments (evening andweekend work)
  • Workwith the development team and suppliers to provide temporarysolutions and upgrade application platform software
  • Analyze and improve existingprocedures and tasks.
  • Improve the implementation of the Geneos servicemonitoring tool and make missing checks on automation andapplications
  • Analyseand suggest improvements to our current production monitoring andwarning process.
  • Maintain existing productionrelated procedures processesand tools with a view to improving their efficiency and enablingthe Applications Production Support Montreal World Markets team toperform more valueadded tasks.

  • (Mustinclude: Language years of experience coherent with the corporatetitle education level clearly stated)
  • Technical and functional support experiencein an environment in contact with clients
  • 5 years of practice in a productionenvironment preferable in the financial field
  • Good technical understanding ofSQL; ability to carry out research using descriptive data and toprovide updates as necessary
  • Knowledge of scripting languages
  • Excellent written and oralcommunication skills
  • Analytical documentation and problemsolving skills
  • Good organizationalskills; concern for customer service
  • Experience in the financial domain
  • English is required
  • Knowledge of Unixand Linux
  • Ability towork in teams and take initiative
