Tech Skills Required:

  • 10+ years of experience in data engineeringExpertise in AWS data services, Python, ML, Cloud, and SQL, machine learning services, and cloud-native architectures.
  • We are looking for an Principal Data Engineer to lead our team and drive-innovation in data engineering, machine learning, and large language models (LLMs). The ideal candidate/ you will be a strategic expert with deep technical expertise and experience in delivering cutting-edge solutions. Must have:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10+ years of extensive experience in data engineering, with a proven track record of delivering large-scale, complex data solutions.
  • Deep expertise in AWS data services, machine learning services, and cloud-native architectures.
  • Extensive knowledge of machine learning frameworks, libraries, and large language models (LLMs), with hands-on experience implementing and deploying LLM-based solutions.
  • Experience with data quality practices, data governance, and data lineage management.
  • Management skills with the ability to inspire and mentor teams, and lead strategic initiatives.
  • Ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience in managing teams and projects.
  • Proven ability to stay current with latest technologies, trends, and best practices in data engineering and machine learning. Desirable Skills:
  • Advanced degree (Master's or Doctorate)- Good to have
  • Experience with AWS machine learning services
  • Knowledge of machine learning frameworks, libraries, and large language models (LLMs), with hands-on experience implementing and deploying LLM-based solutions.
  • Contributions to open-source projects or thought leadership in data engineering, machine learning, or LLMs (e.g., publications, conference presentations, blog posts).
  • Experience with streaming data processing and real-time data pipelines.
  • Familiarity with MLOps and model deployment processes.
  • Knowledge of cloud-native architectures and serverless computing.
  • Experience with Apache Spark and distributed data processing frameworks. Additionally Desirable:
  • Contributions to open-source projects or thought leadership in data engineering, machine learning, or LLMs (e.g., publications, conference presentations, blog posts).
