Job Title: Sr. Mechanical Engineer

Your Role :

Achievement of the technical goal/commitment of a project. Collaborate with team in ensuring the design is consistent with the higher-level architecture and requirements. Define subsystem architecture under considerations of platform constraints. Designing, developing and enhancing electro-mechanical systems and mechatronic devices. Selection of actuators, sensors, and other control system components meeting system requirements. Communication with Internal customers and other stakeholders. Ensure working with internal customers that the proposed design would have the safety, reliability and quality features built-in.  Responsible for ensuring that the design meets the defined performance, quality and cost criteria. Ensuring that there is proper documentation per standards for the developed design.  Ensuring the mutual consistency and efficient integration of the separate components in modular design that meets the product specification.  Ensuring that the design modules meet the product certification requirements.  Being abreast of technical developments in own field through study of literature and technical contacts.  Performs work in line with the processes that have been agreed in the department.

Completed Engineering studies at University level; B.E. /B. Tech. /M.E. /M. Tech. in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering 3+ years of experience in design & development of Mechatronics systems system/subsystem having Mechanical, electrical and software elements. Strong understanding of physics and hand calculation of the mechanical components for deciding strength, stiffness etc. Good Understanding of interfacing of Mechanical components with electrical components and software. Good understanding of verification and validation process. Selection of the shelf component such as like Motors, belts, pulleys, ball screw, encoders, controllers, drives etc. Exposure to CAD(Creo and Equivalent), Windchill PDM / PLM for managing lifecycle of the components. Experience in building Prototype of proposed designs. Experience in conducting verification and experimental testing at components / sub-system level. Identifying the suitable material, apply DFM/DFA concepts in design. Experience with standard NPI / NPD process: Ideation to Industrialization. Familiar with latest engineering design and methods, tools, and processes. Experience in Medical Device development and knowledge of IEC 60601 standards will be an added advantage. Disciplined team worker, ability to work independently with timely guidance. Result oriented team player. Excellent communication skills and Positive ‘can do’ attitude.  Quality mindset in design and documentation.
