We are in the process of expanding our team and are looking for a talented Lead Mechanical Engineer to join us in our mission to create high-performance motor products for various applications, including 2-wheelers, 3-wheelers, power tillers, and industrial uses.
Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Lead Mechanical Engineer to join our team. This is a key managerial role responsible for overseeing the design, prototyping, production, and manufacturing processes of our mechanical systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering, exceptional leadership skills, and a passion for innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and lead a team of mechanical engineers and designers, providing guidance, support, and mentorship.
- Oversee the design, prototyping, production, and manufacturing of mechanical systems and components for various motor applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, software developers, and project managers, to ensure seamless integration of mechanical systems.
- Develop and implement engineering best practices, standards, and processes to improve efficiency and quality.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members.
- Ensure project timelines and budgets are met, and effectively communicate project status to senior management.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in mechanical engineering and automotive technology, and apply this knowledge to drive innovation within the team.
- Identify and mitigate potential risks and challenges in the design and development process.
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment that encourages creativity and continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 4+ years of experience in mechanical engineering.
- 6 months to 1 year of managerial or leadership experience.
- Proven experience in designing, prototyping, producing, and manufacturing mechanical systems, preferably in the automotive or related industry.
- Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and strategically.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in CAD software and other relevant engineering tools.
- Strong project management skills, with a track record of successfully delivering projects on time and within budget.
