Job Title: Sr. Mechanical Engineer

Your Role:

  • Achievement of the technical goal/commitment of a project.
  • Collaborate with team in ensuring the design is consistent with the higher-level architecture and requirements.
  • Define subsystem architecture under considerations of platform constraints.
  • Designing, developing and enhancing electro-mechanical systems and mechatronic devices.
  • Selection of actuators, sensors, and other control system components meeting system requirements.
  • Communication with Internal customers and other stakeholders.
  • Ensure working with internal customers that the proposed design would have the safety, reliability and quality features built-in. 
  • Responsible for ensuring that the design meets the defined performance, quality and cost criteria.
  • Ensuring that there is proper documentation per standards for the developed design. 
  • Ensuring the mutual consistency and efficient integration of the separate components in modular design that meets the product specification. 
  • Ensuring that the design modules meet the product certification requirements. 
  • Being abreast of technical developments in own field through study of literature and technical contacts. 
  • Performs work in line with the processes that have been agreed in the department.

You're the right fit if:

  • Completed Engineering studies at University level; B.E. /B. Tech. /M.E. /M. Tech. in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering
  • 3+ years of experience in design & development of Mechatronics systems system/subsystem having Mechanical, electrical and software elements.
  • Strong understanding of physics and hand calculation of the mechanical components for deciding strength, stiffness etc.
  • Good Understanding of interfacing of Mechanical components with electrical components and software.
  • Good understanding of verification and validation process.
  • Selection of the shelf component such as like Motors, belts, pulleys, ball screw, encoders, controllers, drives etc.
  • Exposure to CAD(Creo and Equivalent), Windchill PDM / PLM for managing lifecycle of the components.
  • Experience in building Prototype of proposed designs.
  • Experience in conducting verification and experimental testing at components / sub-system level.
  • Identifying the suitable material, apply DFM/DFA concepts in design.
  • Experience with standard NPI / NPD process: Ideation to Industrialization.
  • Familiar with latest engineering design and methods, tools, and processes.
  • Experience in Medical Device development and knowledge of IEC 60601 standards will be an added advantage.
  • Disciplined team worker, ability to work independently with timely guidance.
  • Result oriented team player.
  • Excellent communication skills and Positive âcan doâ attitude. 
  • Quality mindset in design and documentation.
