Role Overview:
As aBranch Manager you will be responsible for the overall managementof branch operations. This includes overseeing transportationactivities fleet management customer relations and budget control.You will play a vital role in driving the branchs success byensuring that all operations run smoothly safely andcosteffectively.

Key Duties andResponsibilities:

  1. BranchOperations:

    • Leadand manage all aspects of branch operationsincluding dispatching scheduling and coordinating transportationactivities.
    • Optimize truckroutes to improve efficiency and reduce operationalcosts.
    • Ensure timely pickups anddeliveries by coordinating with drivers and dispatchteams.
    • Implement and monitorperformance metrics to track the effectiveness ofbranchoperations.
  2. FleetManagement:

    • Overseethe maintenance repair and safety of the truck fleetensuring all vehicles are in optimalcondition.
    • Monitor vehicleperformance and fuel consumption taking correctiveactions when necessary.
    • Ensurecompliance with all transportation regulations and safetystandards.
    • Developand implement preventive maintenance programs tominimize downtime and extend the life ofvehicles.
  3. CustomerRelations:

    • Serveas the primary point of contact for clientsaddressing inquiries and resolving any issuespromptly.
    • Work closely withclients to understand their transportation needs andensure their requirements aremet.
    • Maintain and enhancecustomer satisfaction by providing exceptionalservice and building strongrelationships.
  4. CostControl andBudgeting:

    • Managethe branch budget tracking expenses and identifyingopportunities for costsavings.
    • Negotiate contracts withcarriers suppliers and service providers to securethe best rates andterms.
    • Optimize resourceallocation to ensure efficient use of personnelvehicles and otherassets.
    • Prepare and presentregular financial and operational reports to seniormanagement.

Qualifications andSkills:

  • Experience:Minimum 5 years in logistics transportation or fleet managementwith a proven track record of success in managing branchoperations.
  • Leadership:Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage ateam of drivers dispatchers and administrativestaff.
  • AnalyticalSkills: Excellent problemsolving abilities andattention to detail with a focus on improving operationalefficiency.
  • Communication:Superior verbal and written communication skills capable ofeffectively interacting with clients team members and seniormanagement.
  • Education:Bachelors degree in Logistics Business or a related field. Advancedcertifications in logistics or transportation management are aplus.

DesiredExperience:

  • Proficiency in transportationsoftware and tracking systems with the ability toleverage technology for operationalimprovements.
  • Indepth knowledgeof trucking regulations safety protocols and industry bestpractices.
  • Experiencein managing branch performance including setting andachieving operational targets.
