Primary Responsibilities:
Provide technical leadership and guidance for the team of software engineers and stakeholdersOwn the data architecture for the ASOT solutionPerform code reviews as neededArchitect and design scalable, reliable, and maintainable software solutionsCollaborate on complex technical problems and solutions with internal and external stakeholdersSet clear expectations, goals and priorities for the team, provide regular feedbackIdentify and mitigate risks and proactively address any issues or obstacles that may arise during project executionProactively communicate to stakeholders with updates on project status, risks, and dependenciesDrive process improvements and optimizations to increase efficiency within the team and productLead by example to promote best practices, code reviews, and adherence to coding standards and quality guidelinesSteward and own the transition from Excel files to a digitized database for the Actuarial business teamComply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). The Company may adopt, vary or rescind these policies and directives in its absolute discretion and without any limitation (implied or otherwise) on its ability to do soRequired Qualifications:
Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience.5+ years of related IT experience a Technical Lead, Senior Software Engineer, Data architect, or similar role3+ years of experience with the following:Software experience in Java, React, NodeJSAPI Development (REST, GraphQL)Azure Cloud architecture, infrastructure & patternsData Architecture experience Experience working in a virtual team environment across multiple locations.Prove exceptional interpersonal skills in areas such as teamwork, facilitation, and negotiationHigh proficiency in developing visual representations of architectural solutionsHigh proficiency of both written and verbal English communicationProven excellent time management, communication, decision making, and presentation skills
