Learn more about life and purpose of our company directly from India colleagues' video: Bengaluru, India | Where We Work | LSEG Role Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Manager - First Line Risk Management to support and execute risk management practices within the first line of defense (1LoD). The role involves proactive risk identification, governance, and mitigation strategies to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and alignment with organizational objectives. The successful candidate will work independently on assigned tasks while operating under the supervision of senior risk leaders. Responsibilities General, Strategic, and Culture Support 1LoD on risk matters impacting strategic objectives. Promote a strong risk culture across the organization, including participation in risk education and training. Assist in implementing risk governance frameworks and ensure alignment with LSEG policies and regulatory requirements. Contribute to continuous improvement in risk management practices and embed risk awareness in day-to-day operations. Risk Management Execution Support execution of key risk management activities including: Business Maturity Assessment (BMA), Control Enhancement Programs (CEP), Risk Profile Management, Risk & Controls Self-Assessment (RCSA), Top Risks, Issues, Events, Internal Audit (IA) Actions, and Emerging Risks and Scenario Analysis. Assist in preparing materials for Risk Operating Committee meetings and ensure accurate documentation. Ensure timely and accurate logging of issues, events, controls, and actions in the Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) system. Provide support for risk and control aspects of transformation programs, ensuring risks are identified and mitigated effectively. Coordinate with stakeholders to develop remediation plans for identified risk gaps and monitor progress. Collaboration and Stakeholder Management Build and maintain effective working relationships with business leaders, risk champions, and cross-functional teams. Engage stakeholders to ensure risk priorities are understood and embedded in business decisions. Act as a liaison between 1LoD and 2LoD/3LoD to ensure alignment on risk governance and assurance activities, while working closely with assurance teams to support external and internal audits related to risk management processes. Identify opportunities to enhance risk management through automation and process optimization. Qualifications University degree or equivalent 7-9 years of experience in risk management roles within financial services or related industries. Strong knowledge of risk management frameworks, regulatory requirements, and governance principles. Ability to work independently on assigned tasks and escalate issues when necessary. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively across functions and influence stakeholders. Familiarity with GRC tools (e.g., MetricStream, ORMC) and risk reporting systems. Preferred Experience Experience in operational risk management within global organizations. Exposure to transformation programs and risk oversight during change initiatives. Knowledge of continuous risk monitoring and automation tools. Why Join Us?
