Job Description - Manager – Business Development (Ophthalmic)

Job Title : Manager / Sr. Manager – Business Development (Ophthalmic)
Department : Business Development
Location : Regional (Bangalore, Mumbai, Chennai).
Reporting To : National Business Development Head / Head Business Development.

Role Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Manager / Sr. Manager – Business Development to drive our growth in the ophthalmic segment. The role involves identifying and onboarding Eye Clinics and Eye Hospital Chains across key regions including North, South, and Western India, with an eventual transition to a Pan India mandate based on performance.

The ideal candidate should come with a strong background in Business Development , backed by a proven network and an in-depth understanding of the Indian ophthalmic market.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive business development efforts focused on onboarding leading Eye Clinics and Eye Chains in assigned territories.
  • Develop and execute region-specific strategies to expand market presence and service adoption.
  • Leverage existing industry relationships to accelerate business wins and network penetration.
  • Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including decision-makers, doctors, and clinic/hospital management.
  • On-board Eye clinics and hospitals

Desired Candidate Profile:

  • Experience: years of relevant experience in business development in the ophthalmic industry.
  • Industry Relationships: Well-connected within the eye care ecosystem – clinics, hospitals, or chains.
  • Market Knowledge: Strong understanding of the Indian ophthalmic market, including key players, patient flow models, and regional nuances.
  • Skills: Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and negotiation skills.
  • Mindset: Entrepreneurial approach with strong ownership, drive, and accountability.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel extensively across assigned regions.

Qualifications and Experience:

Education:

  • Graduate in any discipline.
  • MBA/PGDM in Marketing, Sales, or Healthcare Management is preferred
