Job Summary
We are looking for a strategic, insight-driven leader to head our
Business Insights function
. The ideal candidate brings a strong analytical problem-solving mindset and is passionate about using data to drive measurable business impact.
You will lead the development of analytical solutions across departments—Sales, Marketing, Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, and more—translating data into actionable insights that guide decision-making at all levels.
This role demands someone who understands the business deeply, thinks beyond dashboards, and is equally comfortable driving insight generation and influencing stakeholders. While familiarity with tools like Power BI and SQL is important, what will set you apart is your ability to formulate hypotheses, guide analysis, apply statistical models, and deliver compelling data narratives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a team of analysts and insight specialists focused on generating actionable business insights across the organization.
- Partner with cross-functional teams (Marketing, Sales, Product, Supply Chain, Finance, etc.) to identify key business questions and provide data-driven answers.
- Guide the team in
framing business problems,
structuring exploratory analysis, and validating hypotheses using data. - Own insight-generation efforts across campaign performance, channel efficiency, customer behavior, pricing, and operational strategy.
- Deliver clear, concise insight presentations that
influence strategic decision-making
at the leadership level. - Ensure insights are integrated into planning, forecasting, and execution cycles across departments.
- Foster a culture of curiosity, analytical rigor, and continuous learning.
- Oversee appropriate use of Business Insights tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.) and ensure consistency, accuracy, and usability of data in reporting.
- Collaborate with data engineering to ensure high-quality, well-structured datasets are available for analysis.
- Mentor team members in analytical thinking,
business engagement, and solution
storytelling.
Required Skills & Experience
- 7–10 years of experience in business analytics, insights, or applied analytics roles.
- Proven experience leading cross-functional analytical projects that drive business
impact.
- Strong business acumen with a track record of translating data into meaningful
and actionable insights.
- Hands-on experience in
statistical analysis
, hypothesis testing, and A/B
experimentation.
- Experience using
statistical models for regression, clustering, forecasting, or
classification.
- Working knowledge of Python for exploratory
analysis and modeling. - Proficiency in SQL and data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau), with the
ability to review and guide team outputs.
- Strong communication and storytelling skills; able to engage both technical and
non-technical audiences.
- Demonstrated leadership, stakeholder management, and team development
abilities.
- Ability to
guide team members
with data science approaches to solve complex
business problems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in consumer-facing industries like retail, ecommerce, FMCG, or D2C.
- Exposure to predictive modeling, customer segmentation, or machine learning use cases.
- Passion for fostering a culture of data-informed decision-making across the organization.
