Orbital Direct Limited is a forward-thinking logistics company based in Loughborough. We deliver UK-wide and international freight solutions—by road, air, and sea—backed by warehousing, customs expertise, and a growing client base. As we expand, we're looking for a Multimodal Freight Forwarder to join our vibrant, high-performing team.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

As a key player in our operations team, you'll be responsible for:

  • Managing international import and export shipments (Sea, Air, Road)
  • Creating customs declarations in line with HMRC regulations
  • Liaising with clients, suppliers, and sub-contractors
  • Providing quotes and processing bookings
  • Supporting international documentation and compliance
  • Generating sales leads and supporting light marketing
  • Answering calls and rotating out-of-hours phone cover
  • Maintaining accurate records via our CRM system

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

We're seeking someone with:

  • 2+ years' experience in Freight Forwarding (Air, Road, or Sea)
  • Strong understanding of customs procedures and international shipping
  • Proven ability to plan and quote for global shipments
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • A proactive, organised, and detail-focused approach
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for conferences and networking
