Job Description: TSE – Frozen Food Division Role Overview
The Channel Sales Manager will be responsible for expanding and managing the distribution network for the company's frozen food portfolio. This role focuses on driving sales through traditional trade, modern trade, and institutional channels by building strong distributor partnerships, improving product availability, and ensuring market execution excellence.
Key Responsibilities1. Channel Development & Management
- Identify, appoint, and manage distributors/stockists across assigned territories.
- Build and strengthen relationships with channel partners to ensure consistent product availability and visibility.
- Monitor distributor performance, inventory health, and adherence to contractual agreements.
2. Sales Planning & Execution
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets across all channels.
- Develop and execute channel-wise sales strategies to maximize market penetration.
- Plan and implement trade promotions, schemes, and offers in coordination with marketing teams.
3. Market Expansion
- Evaluate potential markets to increase product reach in frozen food categories such as ready-to-eat, snacks, and vegetables.
- Expand presence in modern trade, HORECA, and institutional segments.
4. Distributor Operations
- Oversee order-to-cash cycles, stock replenishment, and billing processes.
- Regularly review distributor ROI, margins, and operational efficiencies.
- Support distributors with sales planning, manpower training, and route optimization.
5. Retail Execution
- Ensure planogram adherence, in-store visibility, freezer branding, and proper product rotation (FIFO).
- Conduct market visits to monitor competitor activity, price compliance, and trade feedback.
- Work with merchandisers to maintain hygiene and temperature integrity of freezers.
6. Reporting & Analytics
- Track sales performance, secondary/primary sales, and channel profitability.
- Provide weekly and monthly reports on sales trends, inventory, and opportunities.
- Use data to forecast demand and manage seasonal fluctuations in frozen food sales.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field
- 3–8 years of experience in FMCG/food industry channel sales, preferably in frozen or chilled foods.
- Strong understanding of cold-chain logistics and frozen food retail operations.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, CRM tools, and sales reporting software.
