Job Summary

The role is responsible for managing end-to-end accounting operations including receivables, payables, taxation, fixed assets, and monthly book closure. The incumbent will ensure compliance with statutory requirements, strengthen internal controls, and provide timely business reporting while leading and developing the finance team.

Key Responsibilities Areas (KRAs)

1. Accounts Receivable & Payable Management

  • Ensure effective management of receivables including credit control, timely collections, and reconciliations.
  • Oversee accounts payable processes to ensure accurate vendor payments, timely settlements, and adherence to payment terms.

2. Taxation & Compliance

  • Supervise all direct and indirect tax activities, ensuring timely submission and payment.
  • Coordinate closure of statutory and tax audits within defined timelines.
  • Manage taxation-related litigations and provide necessary documentation/support.
  • Liaise with taxation authorities and external auditors for compliance matters.

3. Fixed Assets Accounting

  • Supervise accounting, capitalization, depreciation, and verification of fixed assets.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and company policies for asset management.

4. Business Reporting & Book Closure

  • Drive monthly and quarterly closure of books of accounts with accuracy and timeliness.
  • Ensure preparation of MIS, financial statements, and business reports to support management decision-making.

5. Team Leadership & People Management

  • Lead, guide, and mentor the finance team for performance and capability development.
  • Ensure adherence to policies, processes, and ERP-driven financial practices across the team.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Chartered Accountant (CA) / Cost Accountant (CMA)
  • 10 to 15 yrs of experience in Finance & Accounts, with atleast 5 years in a managerial/supervisory role.
  • Experience in taxation, audits, and team handling is a must.

Technical Skills:

  • Strong understanding of accounting standards, tax laws, and compliance requirements.
  • Proven experience in managing audits, taxation, and statutory filings.
  • Hands-on expertise in accounts receivable/payable and fixed asset accounting.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP/Oracle/Tally or equivalent).
