POSITION DESCRIPTION
HEADING - SALES OFFICER - MODERN TRADE
PURPOSE
The achievement of distribution, display & sales objectives (Redistribution & Primary) through
effective management of Modern Trade, stockist and merchandising operations within the values
and parameters set by the company
REPORTING:
This position functionally reports to the A(SM)/ASM
EDUCATION QUALIFICATION: Graduate / MBA preferred.
EXPERIENCE: Candidate must be presentable and good communication skills with good accent.
Preferably from FMCG / Modern Trade Sales Background with minimum 2 - 3 years of work
experience.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Re-distribution & Primary Sales.
Implementing and monitoring the TOT conditions wherever an agreement is signed with
a MT chain.
Implementing & monitoring Modern Trade inputs in form of promotions, display,
launches etc.
Ensuring display, merchandising, listing and availability of stocks in Modern trade.
Monitor and ensure fill rates and collections are within the agreement terms and take
action on chronic deviations.
Conducting regular reviews with individual MT chains.
Induction, training and developing Merchandisers and RDS.
Review and supervise Merchandiser performance on agreed parameters and conduct
regular feedback on the performance.
Demonstrate company values , ethics & pride through exemplary behavior
Ensuring Distributor claims are made on time and settled
Ensuring the retailer claims are settled as per the TOTs and settled to retailers thru RDS
and the details are maintained.
