As the Director of Infrastructure Engineering & Operations at Western Union, you will be instrumental in overseeing the architecture and management of our global infrastructure engineering and operations, both on premises and in the cloud. This role requires a visionary leader adept at maintaining optimal performance, reliability, and security of our infrastructure to enable seamless financial transactions worldwide. It will oversee the strategic design, implementation, and operation of infrastructure assets, servers, to all of Western Union Offices, Data Centers, Owned stores, and Cloud resources. You would be performing below -

Role Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a infrastructure strategy that aligns with the company's objectives and technology roadmap.
• Lead the strategic development and implementation of cutting-edge technologies to enhance operational efficiency and service quality.
• Design and implement robust, scalable, and secure infrastructure operations architectures across all platforms.
• Manage the transition of infrastructure operations to cloud-based environments, ensuring cost-efficiency and performance optimization.
• Oversee a globally dispersed team of infrastructure architects and engineers, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
• Develop and provide continuous training and professional development opportunities to ensure a high-performing team.
• Cultivate a culture of high performance and continuous improvement that values learning and a commitment to quality.
• Manage vendor and service provider relationships to meet strategic infrastructure goals and maintain service level agreements.
• Regularly engage with stakeholders across different regions to ensure alignment with business needs and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate closely with IT security teams to implement top-tier cybersecurity measures and ensure compliance with global financial regulatory standards.
• Conduct systematic reviews and audits of infrastructure engineering and operations to drive efficiency and identify improvement opportunities.
• Provide leadership and expert knowledge in resolving high-severity network issues rapidly and efficiently.

Role Requirements

• Minimum of 15 years of experience in infrastructure engineering and operations with at least 5 years in a strategic leadership role.
• Extensive experience with both on-premises and cloud infrastructures (AWS, Azure).
• Strong understanding of technologies such as ManageEngine service desk, SDWAN,
• Fortinet, LogicMonitor, Vmware, Zscaler, Neutanix etc. or similar.
• Demonstrated capability in leading large-scale projects and> managing globally dispersed teams.
• Specific experience with the following:
• Server OS
• Storage
• Backups
• Citrix, Active Directory
• Certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, ITIL or relevant cloud certifications. Classification: Western Union Confidential
• Prior experience in the financial services industry or in a similarly regulated environment.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact with diverse stakeholders and team members
