Job Title: Senior Manager / AGM Plant HR Head
Department: Human Resources
Location: Pantnagar Uttarakhand
Reports To: Corporate HR Head / Plant Head
Prime Function:
To lead and manage all HR, IR, and administrative functions at the plant level, ensuring effective people management, statutory compliance, employee engagement, and alignment of HR practices with organizational goals and business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
1. HR Operations & Strategy
- Drive end-to-end HR activities at the plant, including manpower planning, recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and employee life cycle management.
- Partner with plant leadership to implement HR strategies that support production, quality, and cost goals.
- Ensure seamless coordination with Corporate HR for policy implementation and standardization of HR processes.
2. Industrial Relations & Statutory Compliance
- Maintain harmonious industrial relations through proactive communication and grievance handling.
- Liaise with labor unions and government authorities and participate in collective bargaining where applicable.
- Ensure 100% compliance with labor laws, statutory returns, and audits (Factories Act, PF, ESI, Gratuity, etc.).
3. Talent Acquisition & Development
- Lead recruitment and selection for all plant-level roles, ensuring timely hiring aligned with business needs.
- Identify skill gaps and drive training programs for both staff and workmen.
- Implement capability development initiatives and succession planning for key roles.
4. Employee Engagement & Communication
- Design and execute engagement initiatives to enhance morale, productivity, and retention.
- Conduct regular employee connect sessions, grievance redressal forums, and skip-level meetings.
- Promote a positive work culture that reflects the organization's core values.
5. Performance Management & Compensation
- Drive the performance appraisal process for all plant employees.
- Facilitate goal setting, mid-year, and annual reviews in line with corporate guidelines.
- Monitor payroll inputs, incentives, and benefits administration at the plant.
6. Administration & General Management
- Oversee plant-level administration including transport, canteen, security, housekeeping, and welfare facilities.
- Ensure health, safety, and welfare measures for all employees and contract workmen.
Authority:
- Approve manpower requisitions and hiring within sanctioned budgets.
- Recommend promotions, transfers, and disciplinary actions.
- Approve vendor bills related to HR and admin functions within delegated limits.
Job Specification / Competency Requirements:
Qualification: MBA / MSW / PGDM in HR / IR (Full-time)
Experience: 15–20 years in Plant HR, preferably in the automotive / engineering / manufacturing industry.
Technical Skills:
- Sound knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices
- Strong IR and compliance management skills
- Proficiency in SAP HR / HRMS tools
