Assistant Manager – Public Affairs

Location: Mumbai

Experience: 8-10 years in public affairs, regulatory liaison, or corporate affairs (FMCG, nutraceuticals, food, or healthcare preferred).

We're seeking an Assistant Manager – Public Affairs to lead regional stakeholder engagement, with a sharp focus on the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI). This role is critical to ensuring compliance, managing advocacy, and protecting our brand reputation.

 
Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary liaison with FSSAI at all levels — build strong relationships, monitor policy changes, and ensure timely license renewals and modifications.
  • Support Herbalife distributors with FSSAI licensing and compliance — thousands of interactions each month.
  • Manage Consumer Affairs compliance and direct selling regulations at the state level.
  • Represent Herbalife in trade bodies (CII, FICCI, ASSOCHAM, local chambers) and industry forums.
  • Drive branding and visibility initiatives through chambers and associations.
  • Lead compliance projects, including FoSTaC training and 3P setup processes.
  • Prepare policy briefs, advocacy materials, and regulatory reports for senior leadership.
What You'll Bring
  • 8-10 years in public affairs, regulatory liaison, or corporate affairs (FMCG, nutraceuticals, food, or healthcare preferred).
  • Strong network with FSSAI officials and deep knowledge of food safety laws and licensing.
  • Excellent communication, representation, and drafting skills for policy and regulatory submissions.
  • Confidence, professional presence, and ability to work cross-functionally.
  • Understanding of direct selling rules and trade association engagement.
