Purpose of the Job/Job Mission

The GM Corporate Affairs serves as the bridge between the company and its external environment, ensuring that the business operates smoothly within regulatory frameworks, enjoys a strong reputation, and maintains constructive relationships with key stakeholders.

Responsibilities and Accountabilities :-

Government & Regulatory Relations
• Build and maintain strong relationships with government authorities, regulators, and industry associations.
• Monitor regulatory changes and ensure compliance with applicable laws and policies.
• Represent the company in policy discussions, forums, and consultations.

Corporate Governance & Compliance
• Ensure compliance with corporate governance standards, statutory regulations, and internal policies.
• Liaise with legal and compliance teams to manage licenses, approvals, and clearances.
• Oversee company secretarial activities (if part of scope).

Corporate Communications & Reputation Management
• Develop and implement communication strategies to protect and enhance the organization's reputation.
• Manage media relations, press releases, crisis communication, and stakeholder messaging.
• Oversee internal communication to ensure transparency and alignment.

Stakeholder Engagement
• Act as the primary interface with key external stakeholders (government, regulators, investors, communities).
• Support leadership in representing the company to external bodies.
• Engage with NGOs, chambers of commerce, and other strategic partners.

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) & Sustainability
• Design and implement CSR and sustainability initiatives aligned with company values and legal requirements.
• Monitor impact of CSR projects and ensure statutory reporting compliance.

Strategy & Advisory
•Advise the CEO/Board on emerging regulatory risks, political climate, and public affairs trends.Contribute to business strategy by aligning corporate affairs initiatives with organizational goals.
