Key missions of the position:
- Ensure the Instruments Calibration are done as per plan
- Ensure Calibration Management is Maintained as per the QMS & IRIS Standards
- Ensure CMM and Contour inspections are done as per the requirements raised by the users
Responsibilities
Main responsibilities:
- Ensure that calibration standards are met for both in-house and external calibration
- Knowledge on National & International standards for the maintaining the calibration environment
- Adequate knowledge on calibration of Pressure gauges, Linear instruments, Attribute gauges, Torque wrenches, Electrical equipment, Sensors, Hardness Testers, etc.
- Update the applicable calibration documentation to the users in time
- Maintain the measuring instruments database with real-time calibration status
- Keep update on the technology upgradation for the measuring instruments
- Ensure instruments re-call methods for the gauges falling out of calibration
- Maintain Gauge RR for all the family of instruments and ensure to complete the Gauge R&R as per the plan
- Support for Gauge calibration for AMC service sites across Pan India
- Circulate the pending calibration instruments regularly to users and demand for the cause
- Monitor the Test jigs calibration in calibration database and ensure the verification/calibration as per the procedure
- Authorisation for accepting or rejecting the instruments based on the outcome of the calibration results
- Periodically train the users on instrumentation and Metrology and maintain the training records
- Ensuring active participation for trouble shooting for the customer complaint wrt measurements
- Maintain AMC database for all the testing instruments and ensure timely completion of AMCs
- Maintain assets related to standards room and ensure to report yearly for the inventory
- Adequate knowledge for CMM programming and inspection in Mitutoyo CMM
- Adequate knowledge for profile measurement in the contour machine
- Working knowledge to maintain 7S in the standards Room
- Ensure to qualify for calibration management during the Quality systems audits
