Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Power BI Developer with strong expertise in data visualization, business intelligence, and analytics. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience designing, developing, and maintaining BI solutions using Power BI, SQL, and other reporting tools such as Tableau or SAP BusinessObjects. You will work closely with business stakeholders to transform complex data into interactive, meaningful dashboards and insights that drive strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and deploy interactive Power BI dashboards, reports, and data visualizations.

Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements, understand KPIs, and define analytical needs.

Connect Power BI to various data sources including SQL Server, Oracle, SAP HANA, and BigQuery.

Optimize report performance, manage data refresh schedules, and ensure data accuracy and consistency.

Implement data modeling techniques including Star Schema, Snowflake Schema, and data relationships.

Develop DAX calculations, measures, and calculated columns to support complex business logic.

Manage report security, row-level security (RLS), and workspace governance in Power BI Service.

Perform data blending and transformations using Power Query (M language).

Publish and maintain reports on Power BI Service, manage user access, and schedule refreshes.

Collaborate with teams using other BI tools like Tableau and SAP BO for cross-platform analytics integration.

Provide end-user training, documentation, and post-deployment support.

Technical Skills Required:

Primary Tools: Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, Power Query, DAX

Database Skills: SQL, Oracle, Google BigQuery, SAP HANA

ETL/Modeling: Dataflows, Power Query Editor, Data Modeling, Schema Design

Visualization & Analytics: Advanced charting, KPIs, Drill-throughs, Tooltips, Conditional Formatting

Additional Tools: Tableau, SAP BusinessObjects (Web Intelligence, IDT/UDT), Lumira (nice to have)

Version Control & Deployment: Workspace management, Power BI Gateways, and Data Refresh automation.

Preferred Experience:

Experience in enterprise-scale BI environments with tools like Tableau Server, SAP BO, and Power BI Service.

Exposure to cloud data sources (Azure, GCP, AWS).

Experience with KPI reporting and executive dashboards.

Knowledge of Python or R for data analytics (optional).
