Job Description (Approx. 400 words):

We are looking for a detail-oriented and dedicated Junior Accountant to join our finance and accounts team. This role is ideal for individuals who have a strong interest in accounting, financial documentation, and reporting. As a Junior Accountant, you will support the senior accounting staff and assist in managing daily accounting tasks to ensure the company's financial accuracy and compliance.

Your responsibilities will include maintaining financial records, updating ledgers, processing invoices, preparing basic financial statements, and assisting with monthly and yearly closing procedures. You will also work on bookkeeping activities such as data entry, bank reconciliations, accounts payable and receivable, GST workings, and expense tracking. The role requires a good understanding of fundamental accounting principles and accuracy in handling numerical data.

You will collaborate with the finance team to ensure timely completion of accounting tasks and compliance with company policies and statutory regulations. Attention to detail, strong organizational abilities, and a willingness to learn are essential for success in this position. Junior Accountants must be proactive, responsible, and capable of meeting deadlines while maintaining confidentiality of financial information.

This is an excellent opportunity for candidates who are beginning their careers in accounting and finance. Freshers with strong academic backgrounds in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance are encouraged to apply, provided they possess basic knowledge of accounting software and tools. Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain day-to-day accounting records and ledgers
  • Assist in accounts payable and receivable processes
  • Prepare and process invoices, bills, and payments
  • Perform bank reconciliations and petty cash management
  • Assist with GST calculations, TDS deductions, and statutory filings
  • Support monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities
  • Help prepare basic financial statements and reports
  • Update financial data in accounting software accurately
  • Coordinate with internal departments for financial data collection
  • Maintain organized and confidential financial documentation

Key Skills & Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles and standards
  • Knowledge of Tally ERP, QuickBooks, or other accounting software (preferred)
  • Proficiency in MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Table)
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills
  • Good communication and documentation abilities
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work under supervision and meet deadlines
  • Integrity, reliability, and a positive learning attitude
