The Accounts Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the accounting department, ensuring the accuracy of financial records, compliance with applicable regulations, and timely reporting. This role involves managing a team of accountants, preparing financial statements, coordinating audits, and supporting strategic financial planning.

Roles and Responsibility

  • Supervise and manage the accounting team, ensuring effective performance and development.
  • Oversee daily accounting operations including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, bank reconciliations, and payroll.
  • Prepare and review financial statements, reports, and budgets.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory law and financial regulations.
  • Coordinate and support internal and external audits.
  • Monitor cash flow, accounts, and other financial transactions.
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and business opportunities.
  • Manage month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Implement and maintain internal financial controls and procedures.
  • Liaise with external vendors, auditors, tax consultants, and other stakeholders.
  • Assist in financial forecasting, budgeting, and long-term financial planning.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master's or CPA/CA preferred).
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in accounting or finance, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and regulations.
  • Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Tally, Oracle) and MS Excel.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
