About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our legal team as a Legal Counsel at our Mohali office having at least 8-10+ years of work experience. This role is essential for managing our complex legal needs across multiple sectors including SaaS, Wellbeing, Foundation, Sports, and Infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a robust legal background, strong attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders

What You'll Do:

• Lead drafting, negotiation, and review of a wide range of commercial agreements including vendor contracts, technology agreements, professional services, strategic partnerships, leases, construction/design/architect contracts, and other legal documents in line with organizational policies.
• Spearhead sports law matters including drafting and negotiating:
• Sports player contracts, transfer & loan agreements, intermediary agreements, and talent management/representation agreements.
• Sponsorship and endorsement agreements, academy collaboration agreements, and official communications with AIFF, ISL, HIL, and other governing bodies.
• Lease/licensing arrangements for stadiums, training grounds, and sports facilities.
• Represent and manage disputes before AIFF Disciplinary and Appeals Committees and oversee arbitration and litigation relating to sports entities.
• Oversee Intellectual Property (IP) portfolio management with a strong focus on trademarks, including filings, enforcement, cease-and-desist actions, and dispute resolution.
• Draft, review, and negotiate data protection, SaaS, API, distribution, alliance, and payment facilitation agreements, ensuring compliance with privacy, data security, and regulatory requirements.
• Assess and negotiate customer/vendor contract terms with a focus on privacy and security, including performing vendor privacy risk assessments to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Act as a trusted advisor to business leadership across sports, wellbeing, SaaS, and infrastructure verticals, providing pragmatic solutions to complex legal and compliance issues.
• Partner with external counsels on ongoing litigation, arbitration, and regulatory proceedings, including high-stakes disputes.
• Develop, update, and maintain standard templates, boilerplate agreements, and internal compliance frameworks to enhance efficiency and consistency.
• Assist in the development, implementation, and enforcement of compliance policies and procedures in connection with the company's business operations and regulatory requirements and monitor Roundglass' practices to ensure ongoing compliance with applicable laws, policies, standards, guidelines, and processes.

Skills & Qualifications:

• LLB from a reputed institute with 8+ years of relevant corporate legal experience; in-house experience is must.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to provide engaging, clear explanations to staff across various departments.
• Ability to manage multiple, complex projects concurrently, with strong attention to detail.
• Experience in a tech start-up environment and knowledge of Sports Law will be a significant advantage.
