Legal Associate

Payroll Organisation: Frontier Agrotech Private Limited

Location: Mohali (On-Site)

Key Responsibilities

· Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and legal documents, ensuring compliance with the Indian Contract Act and other relevant laws.

· Provide expert legal advice on issues related to the Insecticide Act, GST Laws, Labor Laws, and corporate governance.

· Manage payment recovery processes, including preparing legal notices and coordinating with the accounts team and external stakeholders.

· Ensure full compliance with company laws, including incorporation, filing requirements, and corporate governance practices.

· Offer guidance on labor law compliance, including employment contracts, workplace regulations, and dispute resolution.

· Ensure compliance with GST laws, including transaction reviews, registrations, and filings, and address tax disputes as necessary.

· Advise on regulatory matters and operations are legally compliant.

· Support in dispute resolution and litigation, including appearing in court or liaising with external counsel where required.

· Maintain up-to-date knowledge of legal changes and proactively advise management on potential business impact.

Requirements and skills

· LLB / LLM

· 2-3 years of experience in corporate law, with a focus on contract law, regulatory compliance, and recovery of payments.

· Strong knowledge of the Insecticide Act, Companies Law, GST laws, and labor laws.

· Excellent drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.

· Ability to handle multiple legal issues with attention to detail and precision.

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

· Ability to work both independently and within a team.
