QA/QC Engineer

JOB DESCRIPTION – QS / QC ENGINEER

(Township Project – G+12 Mivan Shuttering)**

Position: QS/QC Engineer (Quality Control, Quality Assurance & Safety Oversight)

Location: Gadchiroli, Maharashtra

Experience Required: 5–10 years (Mandatory)

Qualification: B.Tech / B.E. in Civil Engineering

Responsibilities:

1. Review and verify all GFC drawings, structural drawings, architectural drawings, and service drawings before execution.

2. Cross-check Mivan shuttering layout, alignment, plumb, level, and box-out placement before closing the formwork.

3. Inspect reinforcement steel—diameter, spacing, cover blocks, lap length, anchorage length, cranking, and tying method.

4. Conduct pre-pour inspections and issue clearance for RCC works.

5. Monitor concrete quality including slump tests, mix design verification, cube casting, and pour sequence.

6. Ensure proper curing methods and monitor curing duration for slabs, walls, and columns.

7. Ensure compliance with IS Codes such as IS 456, IS 1786, IS 13920, IS 2502, IS 516, and relevant QA/QC standards.

8. Check shuttering oil application, surface cleanliness, and ensure no honeycombing issues arise.

9. Inspect blockwork/partition walls for line, level, plumb, and joint thickness.

10. Verify plaster thickness, surface preparation, curing, and finishing quality.

11. Inspect flooring and tiling works—adhesives, alignment, slope correction, and grouting quality.

12. Check installation of doors, windows, UPVC/Aluminum frames, hardware, and sealing.

13. Oversee waterproofing stages including primer, membrane application, screeding, and pond testing.

14. Inspect false ceiling framing, boards, MEP openings, and finishing details.

15. Monitor and coordinate with MEP teams to ensure conduits, sleeves, traps, and services are installed before shuttering is closed.

16. Conduct quality checks for plumbing pressure testing, electrical continuity testing, insulation resistance, and earthing values.

17. Verify firefighting installations, pump room standards, and line testing.

18. Prepare and maintain QA/QC checklists, IR (Inspection Request) logs, RFI approvals, and site quality reports.

19. Issue NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports) and ensure corrective actions are implemented immediately.

20. Maintain records of material test certificates (MTCs), cube test results, and calibration certificates.

21. Track material consumption including concrete volume, reinforcement tonnage, shuttering area, and finishing materials.

22. Prepare and verify measurement sheets, contractor RA bills, and BOQ reconciliation.

23. Monitor material wastage and implement cost-control measures on site.

24. Prepare DPR (Daily Progress Reports), WPR (Weekly Progress Reports), and monthly QA/QC reports for management.

25. Coordinate daily with consultants, architects, PMC, and contractors to resolve site issues.

26. Attend site review meetings and present quality status and deviations.

27. Implement HSE (Health Safety Environment) protocols and ensure compliance by all teams.

28. Inspect scaffolding, ladders, working platforms, and ensure PPE usage at all times.

29. Conduct toolbox talks and awareness sessions related to safety and quality.

30. Issue Permit to Work (PTW) for high-risk activities like work at height, hot work, and confined spaces.

31. Ensure final snagging and de-snagging for each unit before handing over.

32. Ensure complete adherence to method statements, ITP (Inspection & Test Plans), and QAP (Quality Assurance Plan).

33. Raise alerts for design discrepancies and coordinate revisions with the design team.

34. Ensure the project is executed with zero rework, proper sequencing, and strict quality compliance.

35. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILL SET

Educational Qualification

• B.E / B.Tech in Civil Engineering (Mandatory), AutoCAD

Experience

• 5–10 years in high-rise residential/commercial projects.

• Hands-on experience in Mivan shuttering / Aluminium formwork mandatory.

• Experience in township / multi-block projects preferred.

Pay: ₹30, ₹50,000.00 per month
