Position: Junior Embedded Engineer (Fresher)

Industry: Research & Development in Consumer Electronics, Assistive Technologies

Experience: Freshers (0 to 1 year)

Salary: ₹15,000 per month

Office Location: Dr.MGR Educational & Research Institute (ARI - IOT Department),

Thai Moogambigai Polytechnic College, Golden George Nagar, Mogappair West, Maduraivoyal, Chennai, Tamil Nadu

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Assist in designing and developing embedded systems from concept to prototype.

  • Support in microcontroller, sensor, and component selection based on project needs.

  • Read and interpret component datasheets to understand operating conditions and interfacing.

  • Perform hardware setup, testing, and validation of electronic circuits.

  • Develop and debug firmware using C / C++ / Python to achieve expected performance.

  • Participate in PCB design and review for compact, reliable product designs.

  • Work with integrated systems including battery-powered devices, IoT modules, and motor controllers.

  • Conduct system-level testing, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional R&D teams and maintain documentation for project records.

Qualifications and Skills Required

  • Strong problem-solving ability and logical thinking.

  • Basics to advanced understanding of microcontrollers and microprocessors such as Jetson Nano, Raspberrypi, Arduino, ESP32, STM32, PIC, and AVR.

  • Knowledge of communication protocols like UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, BLE, WiFi.

  • Familiarity with AC/DC circuits, power supplies, and sensor interfacing.

  • Ability to read and interpret circuit schematics.

  • Understanding of embedded IDEs such as Arduino IDE, MPLAB, STM32CubeIDE, etc.

  • Knowledge of battery management and motor control is an added advantage.

  • Bonus skills: LabVIEW, RTOS, Cloud IoT, and PCB design tools (Altium, KiCAD, Eagle).
