Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced and motivated
Team Lead – Procurement
for our Pune operations. This role involves leading the procurement process for milk and dairy inputs, maintaining vendor relationships, ensuring milk quality, and adhering to compliance standards.

The ideal candidate will be proactive, quality-focused, and able to lead a small team while ensuring procurement efficiency and consistency in line with Sid's Farm's commitment to excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Procurement & Vendor Management
  • Identify and onboard reliable milk suppliers and vendors in the Pune region.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with farmers, collection centers, and BMC (Bulk Milk Coolers) operators.
  • Negotiate procurement contracts and ensure timely supply of milk in required quantities and quality.
  • Milk Quality Testing & Control
  • Oversee daily quality testing including Fat, SNF, MBRT, adulteration, preservatives, and antibiotic checks.
  • Ensure accuracy and compliance with Sid's Farm quality standards.
  • Guide the team in the proper handling, testing, and storage of milk.
  • Team Leadership & Coordination
  • Manage a small team involved in milk collection and quality control.
  • Provide training and feedback to improve team efficiency and knowledge of quality protocols.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Operations, Quality Assurance).
  • Compliance & Reporting
  • Ensure strict adherence to SOPs, hygiene standards, and regulatory norms.
  • Maintain accurate records of procurement volumes and quality parameters.
  • Generate reports and share insights with the Procurement Head.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Agriculture, Dairy Technology, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of relevant experience in procurement, preferably in dairy or FMCG.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Hands-on experience with milk testing equipment (e.g., Lactometer, Ekomilk analyzer).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and procurement-related software.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team.
  • Willingness to travel within regional collection areas as needed.
