Job Description:

Signature Interiors & Contractors is looking for a dedicated, detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our growing team in Kochi. The ideal candidate will assist the finance team in managing day-to-day accounting tasks while ensuring compliance with financial regulations and company policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate records of financial transactions in the accounting software.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports.
  • Process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections.
  • Reconcile bank statements and ledgers.
  • Assist with payroll processing and statutory compliance
  • Support the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
  • Conduct periodic audits and provide necessary documentation for internal audits.
  • Handle petty cash and expense reports.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth financial operations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Junior Accountant or similar role (0-3 years preferred).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, and other accounting software.
  • Knowledge of GST, TDS, and other statutory compliances.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with inventory management and reconciliation.
  • Experience in the construction or interiors industry is a plus.
  • Additional certifications in Tally, taxation, or accounting will be an advantage.
