Job Title: Junior Accountant

Location: Kochi

Job Description:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Junior Accountant with 34 years of experience in accounting, specifically in the real estate or builder industry. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in managing day-to-day accounts, vendor payments, reconciliations, and project-related financial entries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate books of accounts and general ledgers for multiple real estate projects.
  • Handle accounts payable and receivable, including vendor invoices, client receipts, and bank entries.
  • Prepare and maintain project-wise expense reports and statements.
  • Reconcile bank statements, ledgers, and vendor accounts periodically.
  • Assist in GST, TDS, and other statutory compliance filings.
  • Support monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities.
  • Coordinate with auditors and internal teams for financial audits.
  • Manage petty cash and ensure all supporting documentation is properly filed.
  • Prepare MIS reports and assist in budget tracking for ongoing projects.
  • Collaborate with the project and sales teams for collection updates and cost allocation.

Requirements:

  • Qualification: B.Com / M.Com or equivalent degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Experience: 3–4 years of accounting experience with builders or real estate firms (mandatory).
  • Strong knowledge of Tally ERP, MS Excel, and accounting principles.
  • Working knowledge of GST, TDS, and basic statutory compliance.
  • Good communication and coordination skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience handling project-based accounting.
  • Exposure to RERA accounting or real estate cost management.
  • Ability to prepare financial summaries and assist management in reporting.
