Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced MySQL DBA / Developer with 5+ years of hands-on expertise in managing and developing MySQL databases. The ideal candidate will be responsible for database design, development, administration, performance tuning, backup & recovery, and ensuring high availability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain MySQL databases, schemas, tables, and stored procedures.
- Monitor, optimize, and fine-tune database performance.
- Implement database security, backups, and disaster recovery strategies.
- Perform data migrations, upgrades, and replication setups.
- Collaborate with development teams for database design and query optimization.
- Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues.
Required Skills:
- Strong experience in MySQL database administration and development.
- Expertise in performance tuning, query optimization, and indexing strategies.
- Knowledge of backup/recovery methods and high-availability setups (clustering/replication).
- Hands-on experience with stored procedures, triggers, and functions.
- Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments and shell scripting.
- Good understanding of ETL, data modeling, and SQL best practices.
