Job Description :

• Installation & Configuration: Set up and configure database management systems (DBMS) according to organizational requirements and best practices.
• Security: Implement robust security measures, manage user access, and audit database activity to protect data integrity and privacy.
• Performance Monitoring & Tuning: Continuously monitor database performance, identify bottlenecks, and perform tuning (e.g., optimizing queries, managing indexes) to ensure efficiency.
• Backup & Recovery: Design and execute regular data backup and recovery plans to prevent data loss and ensure business continuity.
• Troubleshooting: Respond to production alerts, diagnose and resolve database-related issues, and implement preventive measures.
• Capacity Planning: Monitor database growth and predict future needs to ensure sufficient storage and processing power to handle increasing workloads.
• Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for database configurations, standard procedures, and system architecture.

Technology :

• Experience in installing, administering, monitoring, and optimizing relational databases such as SQL, MSSQL, MySQL, etc and non-relational databases such as NoSQL, MongoDB, etc.
• Experience in applying database security policies, encryption, access control, patching updates, defense-in-depth etc to ensure database security.
• Experience in database backup and database recovery design.

Qualification :

Masters degree in Science, Computer Science/ Application/ Bioinformatics/ Computational Biology, OR BE/ B.Tech in Computer Application.

Experience required :

Minimum 2 years experience.
