Core Responsibilities

  • Coordinate design activities between architects, engineers, contractors, and clients throughout project lifecycle
  • Review and distribute design documents, drawings, and specifications
  • Organize and maintain project documentation and design files
  • Schedule and facilitate design meetings, taking and distributing minutes
  • Track design milestones and deadlines to ensure project stays on schedule
  • Identify and help resolve design conflicts or coordination issues
  • Process design change requests and maintain change logs

Technical Duties

  • Review drawings for compliance with project requirements and standards
  • Coordinate building information modeling (BIM) processes
  • Assist with material and finish selections
  • Prepare design presentation materials
  • Track and manage submittals and RFIs (Requests for Information)
  • Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for product information
  • Maintain updated specifications and technical data

Administrative Functions

  • Manage design-related correspondence
  • Maintain design budget tracking and reporting
  • Create and update project schedules related to design activities
  • Process invoices related to design services
  • Support quality control processes
  • Prepare progress reports for stakeholders
