We're Hiring – Design Coordinator (Airport Systems)

Location: Bengaluru

Function: PMC – Design Coordination – Airport Infrastructure

We are looking for an experienced
Design Coordinator – Airport Systems
to join our project management consultancy team for the prestigious
Airport Project
. The role involves coordinating the design and integration of critical airport systems in line with international standards, ensuring seamless functionality and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate design development of airport systems including ICT (LAN/WAN/telephony), Security (CCTV, Access Control), BHS, PBBs, BMS, FAS, FIDS, PAVA, SCADA, and related systems.
  • Review designs, interface requirements, and integration strategies from consultants and specialist vendors.
  • Ensure compliance with
    ICAO, IATA, FAA, and national aviation standards
    .
  • Lead design coordination meetings, resolving interface conflicts and design gaps.
  • Align system infrastructure (cabling, ducts, equipment rooms) with MEP, structural, and architectural designs.
  • Support preparation of technical specifications, tender documentation, and system-related design deliverables.
  • Monitor design progress against schedules and report risks or deviations.
  • Support
    testing, commissioning, and handover phases
    with a focus on integration and operational readiness.
  • Collaborate with IT, operations, and airport planning teams to validate functional requirements.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, IT Engineering, or B.Arch (Master's degree preferred).
  • Minimum experience in large-scale
    airport projects
    within PMC/EPC environments.
  • Strong technical knowledge of airport systems and their interdependencies.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, BIM, MS Project, or equivalent design review/collaboration tools.
  • Familiarity with international aviation standards (ICAO, IATA, FAA).
  • Excellent coordination, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
  • PMP or equivalent project/design coordination certification is a plus.
