
Inside Sales Engineer

outside sales team to meet territory/sales goals. Actively involved and driving Value Selling &
Installed Base evaluation.
Job Responsibilities
Quote preparation, including maintenance of applicable systems (SFDC,IFS etc) as per
standard operating procedure and guidelines.
Observing technical correct proposal.
Costing. Verification of obtained costs and ensure costs are in line with expectations and
earlier applied costs.
Pricing. Ensure to obtain optimal pricing in all cases, and support on value selling.
R-meetings / CORB-meetings. Prepare and conduct R-meeting and CORB meetings where
necessary.
Handling and processing of received orders – including resolution of discrepancies on the
purchase orders if any.
Management of the assets within the given region – seeking proactively upcoming
opportunities.
Identify future needs or opportunities for the valves, both including parts and upgrade
opportunities.
Support proactive selling, working with outside sales and customer to identify future
maintenance needs.
Frequent communication with outside sales in regards of pending quotes, upcoming
opportunities and orders.
Close co-operation and collaboration with project management, design, manufacturing,
finance, contract department and other functions involved in sales/customer service phase.
Adherence to established Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), such as : Quote Turn around
time, Gross Margin target, Bookings and Book To Ship (BTS).
Awareness of the valve applications and the functions/value provided to the customer
installation.
Understanding and active application of the customer's maintenance cycle(s), including
predicting/anticipating upcoming maintenance demand on valves.
Process continuous improvement. Identify and act on possibilities to further strengthen and
enhance established processes.
Requirements Desired skills
1-2 Years in comparable field or company
Should be a B.E Mechanical Engineering graduate. Candidates from Valve Industry are
preferred.
Strive for continuous education
Strong sense of ownership and responsibility for work area.
Candidate should have good communication skills and must be capable of handling Outside
Sales.
Should have good negotiations skills.
Have analytical mindset, managing large quantity of data.
Business understanding, covering customer activities, market understanding, applications,
and market trends.
Stress-resistant, able to work in parallel on several different tasks.
Team player – Tight liaison with other departments needed.
Should be able to support customers across different time zones (US, Europe)
