Role Description
We are looking for a seasoned
Sales Manager – Premium Banking
with strong experience in
new-to-bank (NTB) acquisition
, open market sourcing, and premium customer onboarding. The ideal candidate will drive new savings account acquisitions, generate leads from open markets, and ensure seamless transition of customers to the branch relationship management team. This role plays a key part in expanding the premium banking portfolio and driving revenue.
Key Responsibilities
1. Acquisition
- Drive NTB acquisition for Premium/Advantage Banking segments through open market sourcing.
- Conduct local-level sales drives, micro events, and field activities to generate leads.
- Acquire new accounts through referrals, group companies, and existing customer networks.
2. Relationship Building / Deepening / Cross-Sell
- Support consistent growth of the Premium/Advantage Banking portfolio.
- Collaborate with internal teams to maximize penetration of investment and insurance products.
- Promote third-party products such as insurance, auto loans, and mortgages to grow fee income.
- Ensure effective customer contact programs to increase wallet share.
- Facilitate smooth handover of customers to the Relationship Manager post-acquisition.
3. Retention
- Deliver best-in-class service to maintain high customer satisfaction levels.
- Monitor high-value accounts to ensure active usage and balance growth.
- Work on reactivation of inactive or low-balance accounts.
- Assist customers in resolving service issues efficiently to create a positive experience.
4. Risk Management & Compliance
- Adhere to policies related to KYC, AML, Mis-selling, Information Security, Operational Risk, and Code of Conduct.
- Stay updated with compliance norms and ensure strict implementation in day-to-day activities.
- Report suspicious or unusual transactions to the reporting manager immediately.
- Provide market feedback and insights on customer expectations and trends.
Skills and Experience Required
- Strong understanding of retail banking products and policies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong negotiation and customer engagement capabilities.
- Good market awareness and understanding of competitive landscape.
- Ability to manage high-value customer interactions with professionalism.
